Tutoring Program

PASS After-School Tutorial Program is a unique educational program for struggling bi-lingual elementary students held at 1625 Union Street every afternoon Monday through Thursday following the public school calendar. The staff works on homework, reading, writing, and math skills.

PASS Children's Christmas Party 2009

The Pass kid's party took place on Thursday, Dec 10 in the Union St. Fellowship Hall. Students selected gifts for their parents and wrapped them for distribution at the family parton Dec. 17. Then Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus paid their annual visit and personally greeted each and every child.

Did You Know...?
Many of our PASS After-School Tutorial students receive private academic tutoring?  UMCM has coordinated efforts with two SES providers under the No Child Left Behind Act to make this service available.  Private tutors from ACES Tutoring and AAA "All About Achievement" come to our Union Street Learning Center twice a week to provide additional tutoring to our qualified students so that they can attend PASS and have private tutoring without schedule conflicts.  Children may be eligible for the program if they attend a Title I school that has been identified as a school in need of improvement and qualify for free or reduced lunch.
